Dylan, Bob - Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan

Expert: Thom - 5/29/2009

Question
Hello! I know that Woody Guthrie influenced Dylan a lot, and his songs as well. In what Dylan's songs can I find this influence? Maybe there are some Woody's quotes or references in Dylan's songs. Please, help me to find them.

Answer
"Now a very great man once said that some people can rob you with a fountain pen; it don't take too long to find out, just what people are talkin about. Alot of people got no food on the table; but they got alot of forks and knives...and they gotta cut somethin."

That's from a song from his first album, Bob Dylan. There are plenty more, if you contact me again I may have something else for you. Thom
