Sara had 5 children. One, Maria, from a privious marriage whom Dylan ADOPTED - thus Dlyan did have 5 children with Sara.

Sara had a child, Maria, from her first marriage whom Dylan adopted.  Thus, 5 children.

Actually, Bob did have 5 kids with Sara. He adopted her first daughter. Adopted kids are just like everyone else!

Neither has "faded into the great unknown".  Carolyn Dennis is a very successful musical Broadway performer.  Her latest has been as a choir singer and Miss Sophia's understudy.  Sara was and is, by all accounts, a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother who, at one time had a boutique in the LA area.  I have heard nothing of her becoming a born again Christian.  I've seen her often at her son in law's perfomances and once at a Dylan show in LA.  Both of them are lovely, smart, talented women.

Dylan adopted Sara's daughter from a previous relationship.

The comment abought Joan Baez is incorrect. She speaks of their time together in her book, "And a Voice to Sing With."

Her song, "Diamonds and Rust",she admits is about Dylan. She is still performing and I understand, it is often requested.

If anything, Baez, served at one point as a buffer for their imploding marriage.

Your answer served to promote an urban myth.

Dylan, Bob
