E-Commerce, Web Businesses - Social Media

Expert: Amanda Vega - 11/3/2008

Question
I am going to be setting up accounts for my business on various social media sites.  My company name consists of two words like Office Depot.  Should I set the accounts up as "Office Depot", "OfficeDepot" or "OfficeDepot.com".

I'll look forward to your response.

Answer
Hi there, the engines don't really care either way.  I would go with something consistent and more than likely some of the social networks won't allow spaces in the log-in which also becomes your name in some cases. One thing: make sure that your client properly uses the networks as social media, not as places to put advertising and call it social media.
