Question I am starting an business selling only ebooks, I created a website with an ebook but I am finding hard trying to recruit affiliates to sell it for me. I signed up to Tradedoubler and Paydotcom, Commission Junction and Shareasale rejected me as I don't have enough traffic. Clickbank seems to be costly, is it worth it. what's the best way or network to recruit affiliates? I even considered emailing them one by one, but that'll take ages.
Thank you for your time
Answer Clickbank is king as far as ebooks go. Link Share, CJ, & Shareasale don't normally get involved with ebooks.
You can recruit affiliates using safelists, click exchange sites, PTC sites, and free ad sites. http://ewebsmith.com/10.html
As you build your email list, you can download a free version of Groupmail. The free version is limited to 100 individually addressed emails at a time, but you can cue multiple groups of 100 so you could easily send out 1000 emails or more with just 10 sends. In ebook sales, you will be doing some emailing. http://ewebsmith.com/13.html
eBooks are only successful when they offer a large enough margin, 50% or more, to affiliates to interest them and allow them to pay for ads with the major search engines and still make a profit. This, of course, is the best way to sell an ebook and it is how all of the people selling ebooks who make large amounts of money do it. For every 100 affiliates you recruit, one of them will sell anything.
If you don't have the money to spend with Google, Yahoo, or MSN, it will not be easy and it will take a long time and a lot of work to get established. You also need to know how to place effective ads with the search engines to keep from wasting a lot of money. http://ewebsmith.com/awmadeeasy.pdf
