E-Commerce, Web Businesses - ad space on my website

Question
hi thank you first of all for taking time out of your day to read and hopefully answer my question.

I have a new website only been up for about a month and a half.  Its in the christian dating theme.  I'm currently growing my uniques to about 42,000 a month according to google analytics.   I'm hoping that once i get about too 120k or over I would like to contact bigger companies and see if they may be interested in buying ad space.  I was wondering how do i go about doing it? do i contact them directly? also what would be a fair price for a google size ad banner keeping in mind i don't want google.  Thanks for your time in this matter any info is valued make sure you have a great day and a awesome scary weekend!!

Answer
Hi Scotty,

This is a difficult question to answer because I'm not directly involved in your niche. The value of a banner ad is based on your traffic, who your site targets, banner size, impressions, etc.  Perhaps you can look to some of your competitors and see what they are charging.

Best of luck,

Ezra Silverton
