Question Hello, my question is about Affiliate Marketing.
I have recently started with Affiliate Marketing. At this point I have created a couple blogs and a couple websites. On the websites, I am posting a few articles and then including affiliate link reviews.
To try to increase traffic, I have posted articles on multiple article sites with links back to the sites. I have also submitted the websites to dozens of directories.
So far, I am only getting a few hits a day on the websites. Because it can take awhile for the articles to spread, for directories to approve my submission, etc. Do you think in the future the traffic will start to increase more on it's own from the sites receiving more and more backlinks? If so... do you think it would be best to create more websites for other products and use the same marketing methods and wait for the traffic to increase? Is putting quantity over quality a good move?
Your are on the right track to building web traffic but you also need to generate incoming traffic to the article(s) which drive traffic to your site.
1. Get a Twitter account and invite all of your contacts. Then look for people to follow that would be good prospects for your articles. Set up Tweets on a regular basis sending with a link that sends people to the article and to your site. Many of your followers will Retweet your tweet to their followers if it is of interest and so forth. Do the same for people you follow. This will build traffic to your site. Make sure that you have a way for new visitors to your site to register either for a newsletter, deals or other information of interest to them.
2. Get a Facebook account and invite all of your contacts. When you post articles on the web, let them know and post a link for them to use. This will do the same thing as Twitter.
3. Get a LinkedIn account for your business and do the same as above. The above two are more important for retailers.
4. Yes, over time your search listings will get higher, and your articles will be seen more but I highly suggest using the above methods and then consider using Affiliate Marketing as it is stated above.
5. Keep it simple and focused. Use one site. Marketing takes time and you do not want to dilute your efforts.
6. There is shareware available on the web to manage all of your Tweets and Facbook posts. SOme will even let you post to the software and then it will broadcast it to both or more sites.
Traffic will increase if you just stick to the above and stay consistent with your message and posts.
