E-Commerce, Web Businesses - Buying an established business

Question
Hello,
I am in the dilema of choosing the right business or franchise to buy.  I have been to franchise shows and I have been very impressed but after speaking to several business owners, they believe franchising is not the right thing to do.  I then bumped to a brokerage company and found some other opportunities.  I looked into medical distribution but after reading through some websites, it seemed discouraging.  I then looked into buying an established printing business but because l work full time, this may be difficult.  My problem is that l am a little confused on the right direction on which business to buy. I have also looked into food business, shipping and mailing business but not sure which one to do.  Can you direct me or give me some ideas on a good opportunity and which business to stay away from?

Answer
Hi Lola---where are you located?  I need a general idea to be able to respond properly.  You're on the right track talking to existing franchisees when you're checking out franchise operations---they'll give you the straight scoop in most cases; good or bad.  Please respond as a follow up question and I'll attend to it asap.  Thanks---Lee
