I'd like your opinion (and info on any experience) about having Amazon, Yahoo or others process payments for items I sell on my website. I'm starting a one-product distributorship and want to sell on my site, but am not sure if it's best to handle my own cc clearance.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for your response

Answer Hello Russell,
Thanks for writing in.
If you're just starting, then 3rd party cc processing will prove to be cheaper. The more popular ones, such as the ones you mentioned, are stable and reliable. Myself, I use clickbank and verotel and I haven't had any problems with them so far. They send my checks on time.
Later, you can switch to a merchant account, which will process credit cards and then send payment straight to your bank account.
The latest rave in Internet marketing is www.paydotcom.com but I don't use this as yet. Perhaps you can check it out for yourself.
