Eagle Repair - 1995 Eagle Talon overheating

Expert: Jackie Kersey - 7/15/2008

Question
Yes I have a 1995 Eagle Talon and I am having overheating issues. I replaced the thermostat, sensor, and the sending unit for the gauages. I also done a flush and added new coolant with a new cap, but still having overheating issues. My fans are working also. Do you have any ideas on what it might be? Thanks.

Answer
Donnie,
Have you had it pressure tested for leaks etc.?
Is the water pump working?
You could have it tested for a failed head gasket.
Is it only overheating at a stand still or constantly? Is it leaking coolant or just overheating?
Do you live in hot temperature state? If so you could take out the thermostat and try driving without it.
