Question I have a 95 Eclipse non turbo 420A. Im having problems with exhaust system. I need to know what a part is called? From exhaust manifold you have down pipe and the there is like a warm up cat or something with mesh around it? Before CAT flange. On first down pipe??? What is this called? Can it be removed?? Also I would need to know what would cause my car to lose power when I turn on A/C. Feels sluggush...?
Thanks for you help!
Answer Without actually seeing this exhaust part, I really have no idea.
You will always experience a reduction in engine power when the A/C compressor is engaged due to the extreme amount of force it takes to turn the internal pistons within the compressor.
