Question Hi,
I have to do a report over the Eagles for my college music class, but don't really know that much about them. I was wondering if you could tell me [The reply doesnt have to be very long at all, seeing as how I'm partially capable and can research some :)]the biggest contribution that the Eagles made to rock and roll. If thats a very broad question, you could answer in respect to their influence to southern rock, or what bands were heavily affected by their music.

I believe country music today (and for about the last 10 years) was very heavily influnced by the band. The made the music more mainstream for people to listen to. I also feel that unlike many bands of that era, they made the music about the music and not about the image. They were press shy, and never kept an image. You could say there were the California Cowboys for a while, but that didn't last. They were great because the music was great, not because of an image.
