Question
What's up with him. When did He first start with them. Didn't he replace Barry Leaden from the original lineup. Is he or is he not touring with them and why?

Answer
Jeff,

Don Felder joined the Eagles in 1974 during the recording of their "On the Border" record. He didn't replace anyone, he was added to give the band a more solid, rock and roll sound. Bernie Leadon was replaced by Joe Walsh in 1975.
Don Felder was fired from the Eagles in 2001, so he is not currently touring with them. No one knows for sure why he was fired, I've heard that he wanted more money, or that he didn't want to tour anymore. He sued Glenn and Don for wrongful termination and they countersued him. The case is in mediation right now.
Right now, Don is laying low. He has done a few shows here and there, and a few charity golf gigs as well. He was rumored to be writing a book on the band, but no much has been said about it in the last year, so who knows.
