Question
When I gotten my monroe pierced, the piercer used the wrong needle. I think he soppose to pierce it w a 16 size but instead used a 14. Unfortunetly because of this mistake, the flat back of the monroe has grown completely over my skin and has been for a year. There is no way I can push it through! I called my peircer and they said there isn't anything that could do that I would have to go to the ER and get it surgically removed with a scaple? Is this the only way? I am reallllly nervous to go mainly because i'm a little worried over the pricing to get this removed without no medical insurance. Do you have any estimation how much this would cost? I appreciate your help.

Answer
The problem was likely the length of the post and the angle of the piercing. The thickness of the piercing needle should not have affected this in the way you mentioned.

You could call your local clinic to see what it might cost. I'd suspect about $30-50 for the procedure. If you can make it by our studio, we can usually do it for free.
