Question I tried piercing my own septum, at first it was fine and didn't hurt at all. I kept pulling out the neddle and putting it back in and now my nose is really painful. I don't know if my nose is infected or just adjusting to the neddle that went through it. I'm probably just over-reacting, but I don't want my parents to know.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Answer Self-piercing almost always involves infection. The multiple piercings that you gave yourself in the same spot can cause an abscess to form in the collapsed channels that you did not use.
See a doctor if the symptoms don't clear up in 48 hours or if they get worse.
