Question
I got my nose pierced  about  wks ago and had to remove it for an x-ray,after I put the nose ring back in I noticed a bump that the nose ring was in.It wasn't beside it,it actually looks like a mole with a peircing.I have tried tea tree oil,sea salt in luke warm water, even antiboitics and nothing seems to be helping,I mean the bump has gotten smaller, but what else is there that I can do?

Answer
In the future, know that you do not need to remove body jewelry for x-ray and MRI scans. I'll be glad to pass along articles if you email me at my piercing.org address.

It seems that you damaged the piercing when the jewelry was removed and reinserted. The bump can go away if the source of the irritation or infection is dealt with.

You might want to see a dermatologist at this point and consider a change of jewelry to a smoother, better fit piece. Your jewelry may have an uneven surface finish or be made of something irritating. http://piercing.org/shop has some examples of what I have had the most success with in this situation.
