Question I have had my monroe pierced for about 3 mos. Ive dealt with having too long of a stud in for a long time, I have the shortest one I could find which is the 1/4" stud. I was wondering if there was possibly anywheres I could find a shorter stud? Or something else that I could do? I have problems trying to open my mouth wide/eat because when I try to close my mouth it hooks to my teeth. Help?
Answer The first thing to do is to measure the post you have, which if it was the initial piercing post for healing is probably a 3/8 or 7/16 inch post between the ball and disc. Next measure how much protrudes when your lip is relaxed, and subtract. http://piercing.org/shop has excellent titanium posts as short as 3/16 or 4/16 [1/4 inch] just make sure that the size is appropriate before you purchase.
If you are already wearing a 1/4 inch post, then we can certainly fix you up with a 3/16 inch version.
