Ear & Body Piercing - industrial piercing

Expert: Brian Skellie - 7/18/2008

Question
I had my industrial done yesterday. And now I don't know how long my ear can't be wet? how long I can't wash my head?

Answer
It is still healing and should be protected if your piercing has any discharge, dry skin or dried material that collects on the jewelry.

If it gets wet, make sure to clean it and dry it http://piercing.org/pexy/recovery/recovery.html describes how and why.

The less you get it wet, the less you have to fuss with it, but go ahead and bathe as normally as possible. Just make sure to clean and dry the piercing afterwards.

If it does not get wet, it usually only needs to be brushed off with sterile gauze.
