Question i just had my toungue pierced a couple of days ago and was wondering if i can take benadryl for the swelling?
Answer http://care.piercing.org/ has been the most successful approach to aftercare for an oral piercing for me and my clients.
Speak to your doctor before you take anything for a piercing.
In my experience, I don't believe that medication you mention would be effective or helpful for oral care. Gently moving small pieces of ice around with your tongue and drinking plenty of cold water works well to reduce swelling without other irritation. I suggest that you start with cold water when you wake up in the morning, and continue to have some ice constantly until the swelling is completely gone.
