Ear & Body Piercing - dermal anchoring below eye

Expert: Brian Skellie - 6/29/2009

Question
hi. if my dermal anchor is slightly tilted and the bar is a
little noticeable, do i have to get it redone again? ive had
this done 3 x before with the anti eyebrow, then the anchoring
came out and i had it done twice.

Answer
I'm not a very big fan of anchors, as they tend to do this when bumped. If the anchor is surfacing, then it will likely need to be redone. Visit the studio for help. Some have a policy of discounted reinsertion, and some can trick it into staying flush. A simple option may be for you to use a band-aid type bandage to hold it down in place for a few days.
