Question I got my tragus pierced about a week ago, and it has become infected. I hit it when I woke up yesterday morning, and it was sore and throbbing for the rest of the day. The side of my face began swelling up, and the opain became unbarable, so I had to remove the bar. I visited the doctor this morning, and she confirmed that it was infected, and was perscribed a course of anit-biotics and gel to clear of the infection. But I still want to keep the piercing. And was wondering whether I sould try to put the bar back through the holes, just to keep the piercing open. And to revove it afterwords, in order to let the infection heal. But once the infection has gone, would I be able to put the bar back in permintly..?
Answer Stop by the studio, and we may be able to put the bar back in for you.
This should be easy to do for an experienced professional.
Do not attempt to do this yourself without proper autoclave sterilization and a matching tapered insertion guide. http://piercing.org/shop/ has pieces and guides that ship autoclave sterilized for your safety.
