Question

tongue
i just got my tongue pierced 5 days ago and 2 days ago i noticed a red (looked like blood filled) bump in front of the barbell.. i tried to pop it and let the blood out but it wasn't filled with anything so i was wondering if this is a keloid or not. the redness also goes completely away if i suck on ice and just leaves the bump making it look like a regular keloid..

Answer
Try gentler care as described at http://care.piercing.org/ as this could be a reaction to chemical care products, your toothpaste, smoking, alcohol or your jewelry. Change the jewelry if it does not meet the standards outlined at http://jewelry.piercing.org/

As far as the scar goes, with a change of care and potentially jewelry, it should go away. See a dermatologist or doctor if it does not get better or immediately if it gets worse.
