Ear & Body Piercing/Prince Albert

My question is in regards to my prince albert I've had for 13yrs. I started out at a 10/12ga and through the years have stretched it out to a 2ga just in the past 3 months. However, when I wear my circular barbell it hurts like hell. There's no keloid or blow out, and I cannot figure out what's causing the pain. Would I be better going to a curved barbell instead? Could it be the weight of the piercing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have pain, you may have reached the limit of stretching and weight for the amount of tissue involved in the piercing.

A lightweight titanium curved barbell could help.

At larger sizes, I find that many people do not have to wear their jewelry all the time. If it shrinks a bit, just insert a slightly smaller size to loosen it back up for a few hours.

*Check to see that the jewelry does not have any rough spots or damage.
