Ear & Body Piercing/Belly button ring wouldn't go in

Question
I bought a belly button piercing kit off amazon, all the reviews were great. I had my sister in law try and pierce it but I believe she did it too slow. I mean, the needle went through but she couldn't follow it with the ring all the way through. She tried for about 5-8 minutes until I started blacking out and fainting. I was wondering how long until I could get it re-pierced or go to a professional and get it re-pierce

Answer
Hi Isabella,
Sorry to read about your struggle. I presume you have drawn a similar conclusion that kits are not safe and piercing should be left to experienced professionals.

The longer you wait, the easier it should be. At least let the skin get back to the same texture as before, and be sure that there is no swelling, tenderness or discoloration. This can take weeks or months depending on the amount of damage done.
