Ear & Body Piercing/earring to tight .

Question
hello. I just got my third lobe piercings about 5 days ago and I feel like my earring are a little tight like there is no space in between front or back and I cant loosen them as the posts are to short . I usually get the long posts but I always have so much room , and my piercer said I wouldn't need them so I got the short ones instead , but I guess I should have went with the long posts instead lol. My question is I know earrings that are to tight is not good but mine aren't super tight there's just no space, so is that going to cause any infection ? or embedding of the backing ? I do have long posts I could put in but their still sensitive and id rather not take them out so is it ok If just leave them and they will loosen or should I switch them out ?

Answer
If the jewelry is not embedding, consider trying cold compresses to reduce the swelling in the area. This will help you prevent the potential for embedding, coupled with your adequate aftercare process. Http://Care.safepiercing.org can help you learn more about care.

If jewelry appears to be sinking in or making an impression, consider returning to your piercer so that the jewelry may be changed using appropriate safety precautions.
