Expert: Eric P. Wilkinson, MD Date: 5/24/2007 Subject: ear rumbling
Question I dont know if you are the right person to ask but I guess it cant hurt to try lol. for a couple days I've had this rumbling in my right ear, as if I'm yawning, but I'm not. Its really really starting to drive me up a wall. Any idea what it could be?
Answer You have tinnitus (general term to describe ear or head noise). It may be related to myoclonus of the tensor tympani or stapedius muscles in the middle ear. However, it may also be from a hearing loss. You should have an audiogram and an examination by an ear, nose, and throat physician.
