Subject: tingling tongue

Question
last day i had a very cool an minty sensation on the tip of my tongue and the  center of the lips which lasted for a few minutes....really confused what was that...it was almost a tingling sensation....heard somewhere that it can be a symptom of multiple sclerosis! is that true doctor...or is it  because my calcium levels were low?

Answer
This could just have been a nerve paresthesia, or altered sensation of the nerve to that part of the tongue.  It can come from a variety of causes.  You should probably have a thorough neurological examination, but if that is normal you may not need to do anything else.  If you get any other symptoms then imaging or other tests may be needed.

Hope this helps.  Good luck!
