Question
Hello Tonja,
I was hoping that you could provide me with some ideas for giving parenting workshops for preschoolers.  I am looking for any helpful outline for classes or topic ideas that I could use.
Thanks for your help,
Bert

Answer
Hi Bert,

Preschool parents have lots of questions you can address in workshops. Here are a few that come to mind right away...

1. Kindergarten Readiness
2. Learning to Read/Write
3. Raising a Kind and Caring Child
4. Healthy Meals and Snacks
5. Promoting Gross Motor Development
6. Math Readiness Skills
7. Special Needs Issues
8. Speech and Language Development and/or Delays
9. Health and Safety Issues
10. Preschoolers and Computer Technology

Hope these help. By the way, there are two resources that I use when developing staff workshops (but I'm sure they will be just as helpful for parent workshops):

Early Childhood Workshops That Work! by Nancy P. Alexander
Workshop Essentials by Paula Jorde Bloom

Good Luck and Happy Training!!
