Subject: Incarnation

Question
What was the purpose of the incarnation?

Answer
St. Athanasius says that God became man so that man could become like God.

He also says in his book "On the Incarnation": "He has been manifested in a human body for this reason only, out of the love and goodness of His Father, for the salvation of us men."

This is an excellent book and goes into much greater depth than I can provide in a post.

You can find it online here:

I hope you find this useful.

Your servant,
Herman
