Why do some Christians condemn Harry Potter books? With its themes of sacrificial love, Harry Potter is what lead me to Christ!

Many fundamentalist Protestants key on the fact that "magic" is being portrayed and, of course, "magic" is "evil". However the Orthodox Church has a more mature view of such things. Here is an interesting essay from an Orthodox view on the Harry Potter series:
