Question
can you classify the following animals as producers, herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore. And can you kindly please explain the classification.
The animals are:
1. Heron
2. Frog
3. Grasshopper
4. Grass
5. dead algae
6. tadpole
7. Water boatman
8. Yellow Perch
I will appreciate if you answer my question.
The Heron is a carnivore, that's because it eats the yellow perch.
The yellow perch is also a carnivore, because it eats the water boatman and the tadpole.
The Frog is a carnivore because it eats the grasshopper.
The grasshopper is a herbivore because it eats grass
The dead algae WAS a producer but since it's dead, it's not.
Grass is a producer because it produces its own food.
The tadpole is a herbivore because it eats dead algae.
