What is a strategy ? How it can be effective

I thank you for selecting “allexperts” and directing the question to me.

Strategy is a term adopted from the World war Military operations. This is to hide and attack  without knowing what is ahead and what will happen ? This is now widely used in Economics and management.  This is used for :
1) Diagnosis : For a given problem, several solutions exit. These could be from our own experience and from others’ experience. Evaluate the results for a future course of action with more probability of success.
2) Guiding Policy: The selected answer for an objective, the limitations and after effects should be a guiding policy
3) Action Plans : Step by step implementation of the plan has to be made.
Effective strategy.
This is a new addition in Economics and Management. Achievement of  leadership (Corporate or Product or Service) and Social & Economic development has to face many unknown factors.

In management it is growing competition (local, international), Faster modernizing Technology, Innovation in new products etc…

In Economics, the changes in environment, human needs, faster changing money values (exchange rate), Domestic and international politics etc..

The essence of strategic strategy is in a  5 P model, consisting of the following

1. Plan. 2. Ploy. 3. Perspective. 4. Position. 5. Pattern.

• Plan and ploy draw on classic action thinking. ‘Plan’ equates with ‘grand plan’ or ‘grand design’, with an overall understanding (conception) of the core aims and direction of the company and how they will be achieved.
• ‘Ploy’ is better thought of as a ‘game plan’, or a tactical  approach used to win each objective. Tactics include skill development and application, to win . Plans and ploys can in principle be written down, discussed and communicated among those who need to know.
• ‘Perspectives’ tend to be unspoken (tacit) assumptions and ways of thinking about an universally recognised or accepted method.
• ‘Position and pattern’ describe an evolving stream of observed events. It is a method that historians use to interpret past events and infer the future. ‘Position’ is another view of strategy, one that combines elements of both achievement thinking, and industrial economics (to reduce the costs). A strong and defensible position and decision is considered a desirable. Enterprises often conceive their strategies in terms of actions intended to improve their future competitive positions. Positions can be based on objective measures such as market coverage and market share, but they also draw on subjective factors such as reputation and brand image.

Effective Strategical approaches

         Intentions (Plans)--------> Realisations (Results)

         | Downward          | Upward
         |          |
Unrealised goals --------> Final strategies (Unplanned but effective)
