Question
Hi Agusto,
I would like to buy a home in Ecuador in which to live about six months a year.  I will have enough money to live on but I think I am interested in a smaller city than Quito and wondered about the coast prices for a small home as I have limited capital.  I love outdoor activites and photography more than city life.  Any suggestions? Sally

Answer
Hello Sally:
The prices of small homes in small cities of Ecuador are really low. I think you can buy it for less than 40.000 dollars. Maybe 20.000. The better small cities in the coast would be: Salinas, here there are luxurious apartments and homes, it is at the beach. Manta, less expensive and a handsome small city. Bahia de Caraquez very nice people and near the beach. Playas, small village at the ocean near Guayaquil. But the prices change as you talk with the owners, because it depends of many factor.
