Question
I have just recieved one from my cousin, im not a big 3 pickup guitar fan.

He keeps telling me and many other older residances that its the closest thing to a gibson, along worth aloght and a very very very good guitar

I have no idea if its as good as said or just another $150 strat copy. i saw people selling 2 on a spanish web site for $1500

i could use some help man

Answer
Wyatt:  Your Charvel Strat is really a quality guitar.  I've played quite a few of these, and when set up properly, they can play as well or better than the actual Stratocaster.  Generally, they have very smooth-playing necks, and are built with quality components.  The only suggestion I think I'd make is to replace the pickups, as the stock pickups aren't the best in the world.  Now, as it's related to a Gibson:  it really isn't at all.  It's actually much closer to a Fender Stratocaster than any Gibson model.  (Gibson doens't make anything even resembling this guitar.)  You can be sure, though, that it definitely is a quality instrument and definitely not a cheap knock-off copy.
Hope this helps!
