Question
I just got a guitar and love it. I don't know the notes yet so i'm just listening to bands like rush and copying what I hear. I have a Fender Strat. what are some amazing outstanding and incredible effects I can do with my guitar? I'm already using the whammy bar, pickups, and a few effects via the amp. What else can I do?

Answer
Hey Matt, that's a bit of a difficult question to answer, cuz you can pretty much do anything with a guitar nowadays. You can get a Roland synth pickup installed & make it sound like any instrument on earth. Some standard guitar effects to use are compression, distortion/overdrive, eq, flanger/chorus/phase shifter. delay & reverb. Just with those few effects you can make all kinds of crazy sounds. You'll just have to keep on picking & keep on experimenting. Don't be afraid to try new things & if you ever get stuck on anything, just drop me a line. Congrats on the new axe man! I'm happy you dig it.
Peace - J.
