Question
2 guitars were donated to our Christian School in S CA:

- Sammy by Samson is a smaller sized v shaped cream colored electric guitar, possibly 3/4 size. Has 1 humbucker pickup. Is this guitar worth anything? Appears to be in good condition.

- Memphis "Strat" copy, red color, 3 single coil pickups. Having trouble keeping in tune & if you hit the "wammy" bar, the guitar goes out of tune. Is this guitar wirth anything?

I appreciate your advise.

Answer
Hi Harry,

Thanks for your question.

These are both very low-quality guitars. I'm sorry to say that they are not worth much at all. I believe you will probably find that when it comes to getting them to stay in tune and work well enough for a beginner student, they are more trouble than they are worth.

An example of an in expensive electric guitar that you are likely to have less trouble with is the Fender Squier:

I hope this was helpful.
