Question
Hey Chris! I sold you those Xanadu and Discovery standups way back when! Remember?

Anyway, I wanted to bounce this off you, I have a 45 single of Four Little Diamonds/Letter From Spain from back in 1983. The thing that makes it rare, in my opinion, is that while the labels are for the ELO record, it is actually a 33-1/3 RPM 45 of childrens songs on each side. I have no idea what the songs are or who did them as I only played it once. The thing is, I have never seen one of these anywhere since I originally bought it. Funny thing is after I bought it and realized what it was, I went back to the record store and looked at the others they had and had them pull them from the shelves as all but one of the copies was wrong. I probably should have bought them all! So much for hindsight, huh?

Anyway, I was wondering if you had ever heard of this odd record and if so, do you have any idea what it is worth? I don't know if I would ever sell it but it would be nice to know it's worth more than the buck I probably paid for it.

Take care!
Rob

Answer
Hello Rob,

I have heard of this happening in the past. I may have heard about that exact one, but I can't remember. I am sure the item has some value. But recently ELO items are going for nothing. A stand up display like the discovery one recently went for only $35 bucks on ebay. And a lot of rare ELO stuff just get no bids.

10 years ago I sent hundereds on an ELO single that lately goes for $10. It's kinda of sad if you ask me.

Oh well. I hope this was a little help,

Christopher...
