Expert: Will Date: 5/31/2008 Subject: Adjustable Bed Remote Control
Question My uncle has a remote for an adjustable bed that isn't working properly. It can move the foot of the bed, but not the head portion of the bed. It is:
Adjustable Bed Remote Control made by Maxwell Products, Inc., Model No. R2-T-2 FCC ID No. JN-3R2-T.
This remote was originally made for:
Craftmatic Adjustable Bed, Model No. K-clox74-CWM-R2T2-Dual Signal, Serial No. XL0794-275709Dec.94
Thank you very much for any information you can give us regarding how we can get this remote fixed, or find another one that works with this bed.
Answer Diana,
I don't know Craftmatic, what do they say? Is it corded or totally remote? IR or RF?
The part number is not doing me much good yet.
1st, have yo called Craftmatic?
If not do so and get price and availability.
2nd, Is it wired on the bed or totally remote, no cords. Do you know if it is infared controlled or radio frequency controlled?
After you call Craft matic and we know what we are dealing with, you can send it to me, and if corded it might be the cord, if it is totally remote IR or RF it might be the receiving unit not the remote.
Before anyone of this, take the batteries out, make sure none of them weeped or leaked, in the unit. If not, take the batteries out for 5 minute, Unplug the bed for 5 minutes, install new GOOD batteries and see what happens.
Past all that we will talk about you sending it to me and I will try to fix it, or try to set up a learning remote to do the same functions.
