Question How do I determine the wire leads from a DC Motor. They do not have label or markings on them. The motor has 10 leads. I have determined that 2 of them are for the tach.
Answer you need to meter them out and record the resistances. It is difficult process but there should be pairs.
1 pair armature circuit.
2 pairs for the shunt field
1 pair for the interpoles if used
1 pair for the series winding if used.
1 pair for the tach. and so on.
Anyway thats a start.
Knowledgeability = 10
Clarity of Response = 10
Politeness = 10
a little more explanation on the resistances expected. and will one pair be a thermal contact so there will be a 0 (zero) ohm reading.?
