Question
motor
motor
I recently purchased a motor (A74 RJP-28 Ashland Electric Products) on ebay. The motor has 4 wires coming out of it. Red, green, blue and black. The label on the motor says to use a 4 microfarad 330 vac capacitor. I was hoping that you might tell me how to wire this motor. I've attached a photo of the motor. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Answer
Take an ohmmeter and check if the green one is a ground lead.
If not then see what the other lead it rings out to.
There should be 2 circuits
Let me know what the 2 circuits are and what the resistances of eac circuit is.
Then I can give you the cap connection.
