Will, thanks for your great help. The old P&H hoist is running  smoothly. I put new bearings, brushes, springs, and relay box wires in it, and cleaned up the comm (no machining). Helwig did a great job on the brushes, and I found several custom spring manufacturers. The first set is very expensive, but I now have enough spares to outlast the building and probably me too. Thanks again. George.
