Question
I bought a GE 1 ph motor and is running the wrong rotation.  Need rotation and 115 vac connection?  Model # 5K649687Y, 1.5 HP, 1725 RPM, 115/230 Volt, 14.8/7.4 amp, has 7 leads, RED-T8, ORANGE-T3, PURPLE-P1, (TOGETHER)  WHITE-T2, BLACK-??, YELLOW-T4, (TOGETHER)  BROWN-P2, (NOT USED) Runs on 115 vac, 7.7 amps, with C.W. rotation. Can you help me? Budd

Answer
THAT SHOULD BE 115 VOLT CONNECTION,   red T3 and unmarked black should be the other start     swap red with black    that should reverse direction


Correction    red T8 not 3        but same instructions swap red with black      8 and 5 are normally start winding leads       black should be 5
