Subject: Need a project topic

Question
I need a project topic on electronics and telecomminication. I`m in my final year, please i`ll need your assistance on how to go about developing my final year project topic.

Answer
I have had several questions along this line the last couple of months.

Go to this site:
http://eeshop.unl.edu/netsites.html

and plow through some of the suggestions and links looking for something of interest.

Also, if you go to my question archive you can dig out some of the replies I prepared for others.

To a great extent the selection of the project will be up to you and your professor.  You must determine what is of interest to you, the complexity that you are able to handle, the classes that will relate to it closely and the amount of help you will need from your professor and colleagues.  Most professors give some guidelines on the selection of the project and the criteria for completion, so don't go too far away from what is expected.

When you have narrowed down your interests and feel comfortable with the topic or project outline I would be glad to give you further guidance.

My experience as an ex-college professor is that many students take on a project that is too ambitious and then have to compromise its completion.  Keep it simple, but elegant and within the resources you have available and the knowledge base you are good at.

Best wishes,
C
