Electrical Engineering - Network jammer

Expert: cleggsan - 10/28/2009

Question
I want 2 design an electronic circuit capable of blocking mobile signals within a given region. This is meant 2 b my final yr project for my first degree and i've no idea how i can go about  designing d network jammer or even d principle behind it's operation.

Answer
Please read through these web sites and be clear about the legality of owning and operating such a device and the consequences of doing so.  Since you indicated you are in the USA, you will find the FCC has declared them illegal in all parts of the country because they can interfere with emergency and safety communications activities from authorized authorities.

Here are some circuit and construction suggestions:

I have given you references that are easily found with a simple google or bing search.  I don't want to go any further than that as would not be ethical to do so.

Hope this helps!
