Can there be applications of implementing PID temperature controllers in Automobiles?.

Answer
Most of the temperature controls used in automobiles now days (there are many models that have automated controls for temperature regulation of heat and air conditioning) are using common sensors and basic control electronics.  They are referred to as ATC or Automatic Temperature Control systems.

I think PID technology is more expensive and not entirely suited for automobile environments due to the many sensor inputs that must be monitored by ATC.
