Question
Dear Prof Cleggsan

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unicode_characters
http://unicode-table.com/
http://unicode.org/charts/

1 Can we have a separate chapter on Unicode characters theory and applications in Mathematics similar to Matrices, Profit & Loss, Percentages, Number Theory, Surds, Indices .... ?.

2 Can we apply Unicode characters theory in other mathematics disciplines viz Sets, Word Problems, Topology, Graphs, Matrices, Probability, Differential equations etc ?.

Thanks & Regards,
Prashant S Akerkar

Answer
1.  I don't understand the suggestion/question. The unicode is to standardize operational aspects of the hardware and software among developers, producers and manufacturers so that they can 'talk' to each other in multisystem environments.  I don't see a mathematic application.

2.  The codes should not be misused or included in data sets that would confuse the operation of the apparatus.

I am not an expert in unicode so you really should consult with other experts.  The above comments are just my own comment as a non-expert.
