Electrical Engineering/Ship Geometrical Shape.

Dear Prof Cleggsan

How will you classify Ship Geometrical Shape?. Is it cylindrical, Spherical, Elliptical, Oval, parabolic, Hexagonal etc?.

Is it possible to design different geometrical shapes for Ships?.

I doubt if ship designers have any particular geometric shape in mind as they develop their design program.  Rather, the ship is designed to meet the needs of its purposes and motion power.  Shaping it for the least resistance for movement in the water may take on shapes that are variations of geometric configurations but the design of the ship for its intended purpose is the driving force for the final design parameters of the vessel.

Did you have a different idea in mind?
