Question
Dear Prof Cleggsan

Do Microwave oven and Refrigeration systems can be deployed in commercial aircraft pantry?.

Thanks
Prashant

Answer
Commercial flights that offer food services must have them for keeping food items hot or cold. There is no  technical restrictions but some airplane forbid microwaves as they can be a possible source of interference with the communications and flight instrumentation equipment.

Probably, most commercial planes use convection heating ovens which do not emit radio interfering waves.

But this is just my personal opinion.  If you google you will find many answers on the subject.
