Question
Dear Prof Cleggsan

Do you feel there are advantages in Smartphones interfacing with External Mouse Peripheral Device?.

Thanks
Prashant

Answer
It is not a technical issue as much as a market driven user way of navigating the small screen rather than using hand gestures or pen/stylus.

Using external mouse makes it more difficult due to the fact both hands would be occupied; one to operate the mouse the other to hold the smartphone.

So, in conclusion I don't think it's a viable idea.  But it will work better with tablet or larger screen device than with smartphone.  That's my thinking.
