AboutDave Nyce Expertise I have been an electronics engineer for 25 years. I can answer questions on analog and digital circuits and my specialty is sensors.
Experience I am the inventor on 23 US patents, and also some foreign ones. Developed sensors for over 25 years. Licensed private pilot (airplane and rotorcraft), have HAM radio license. I'm not an expert in computer networking.

Question Thanks for your help with the display. It was hopeless but you saved me a lot of guesswork. Same computer project, the front panel of the stereo has 30 some-odd momentary switches I'm using to replace the keyboard. To save time programming and designing a circuit I'm trying to wire the switches to an old keyboard. The contacts and traces for the keyboards are printed onto plastic, so obviously I can't solder the wires on. Is silver epoxy the only way to go or is something cheaper out there? Also, where is a good place to buy/order some?
Answer In an auto store, you can buy conductive paint that is used to repair rear window heaters when they crack. First make sure that your wire has a stable mounting (solder it to a pad or epoxy it to the printed circuit board). Then paint a conductive path from it to the switch contact pad.
