Question
this is actually for my garage.I have a 220v lincon 225 amp,ac/dc
welder I need to hook up.what size wire and breaker do I need?

That depends one the amperage draw on the unit.There is a name plate on the welder it tells you the voltage,amps and cycles there you would find the information on the breaker. 30 amp you need a #10 wire 40 amp you need a #8 wire 50 amp you need a #6 wire
